Hang Ten Helicopters Celebrates New Location
Orange Beach, AL - Since June of 2021, Hang Ten Helicopters has taken flight in more ways than one at their new beach front location. Previously operating out of Ferguson Airport in Pensacola Florida, Hang Ten Helicopters has expanded to a small heliport located at the Caribe Resort in Orange Beach, AL.
Customers from the local area and beyond have taken a tour down the coast in ultimate fashion. Whether it's a quick five minute tour or thirty, over 400 hours have been accumulated on the Robinson R44 helicopter. That's approximately 1500 tours safely flown between 2500 excited passengers.
"The new location gives us great visibility right here in the heart of Orange Beach” says co-owner, Ross Ansell. "All of our tours are up and down the coast where beachgoers below can easily see us overhead. When the helicopter is out flying, it advertises itself generating walk-in customers or phone call reservations. The beach routes help reduce our noise footprint over populated residential areas creating a more ‘fly neighborly’ conscious company. Additionally, it also increases our safety by flying over the water,” Ansell said.
Hang Ten Helicopters recently shared their success by donating some flight time to the local Childrens Hospital of Pensacola. Over 25 kids took to the air for a memory to last a lifetime. Ansell mentioned, "It feels great to giveback to the community, but seeing the smiles on the kids and parents faces was priceless."
From 2 to 92 years old, Hang Ten Helicopters has a wide range of customers wanting to fly. Many are on vacation, celebrating a special day, or just wanting a unique way to see a colorful sunset. "Our Coastal Blast tour has been the most popular. It's a great intro to flight at an affordable rate. You'll see the famous Flora-Bama on the Florida/Alabama State line, Orange Beach, the Caribe Resort, Ono Island, Perdido Key and Gulf Shores just to name a few," Ansell added.
Each helicopter ride is a fantastic way to see the area while witnessing the emerald water and sea life first hand. Their safety conscious team of professional pilots and ground crew will deliver an incredible and fun experience. Even if you're a seasoned aviator, they promise an adventure in the sky you will never forget!
